Elevated Camping at Bay Point Landing
Located in Coos Bay, Oregon, Bay Point Landing offers guests an elevated camping experience. A perfect hub for adventuring in the area, or a haven for peace and relaxation, Bay Point Landing has so much to offer. As soon as we saw images of the beautiful architecture and luxury accommodations, we knew we had to stay here. With so many options for camping in Oregon, this resort stands out and deserves a category of its own.
Accommodation Options
When we first saw pictures of Bay Point Landing, we were in awe of the artistic design each accommodation has. Bay Point Landing has three options for your next stay: cabins, Airstreams, or campsites. Each option allows full access to site amenities and is equipped with all you may need. Some features include:
-Kitchenette with basic cooking essentials
-TV with cable and access to Netflix and Hulu
-Outdoor seating area with a fire pit, lounge chairs, and picnic table
-One bundle of firewood as well as fire starter (Additional firewood can be purchased at the General Store on site)
-Full bathroom with luxury soaps
-Easy beach access
-AC/heat
-a fan
Emphasis on the fan, because we always miss the white noise of our fan at night when we travel. I got way too excited when I saw a fan in the closet, and we slept so much better.
Cabins
Bay Point Landing offers three different cabin options depending on the number of guests. Each cabin has its own unique design.
Kamp Haus cabins are designed for two guests. This is the cabin we stayed in, and while it is a “tiny cabin”, it had an interior design that felt spacious and open.
Drift cabins sleep 4 guests and have a beautiful waterfront view.
Dune cabins, perfect for families, sleep 6 guests.
Airstream Suites
For the traveler who wants to immerse themselves in the genuine camping experience, airstream suites are a luxurious option. These suites host up to 4 guests and boast the same unique interior design as the cabin options.
Campsites
Looking to enjoy all Bay Point Landing has to offer from the comfort of your own home on wheels? Each campsite is equipped with RV hookup and access to all amenities, so you can take your camping experience to the next level.
Each accommodation site is well spaced, offering a secluded and private experience. Most sites were full when we visited over the summer, and we were surprised at how quiet it was during our stay.
Amenities
We don’t usually stay around long enough to enjoy on site amenities, but here at Bay Point Landing, we really wanted to maximize our stay. We had to experience the amazing amenities ourselves. Bay Point Landing offers:
The Clubhouse
A beautifully designed space with a wraparound terrace, several outdoor seating options, and communal firepits, this is the perfect space to take in the views of the bay, gather by the fire, read a book, or talk with friends and loved ones.

An ideal space for working remotely or reserving for private events.
General Store
Snacks, souveniers, and s’more kits, the General Store has it all. You never have to leave the comfort of your campsite! You can simply send your order via text, and they will deliver it right to your campsite.

Things to do Nearby
While you could stay here all day (which we chose to do), Coos Bay has some amazing places to explore.
Shore Acres State Park
Gorgeous rocky cliffs with epic coastal views, Shore Acres State Park is one not to miss. It is about a 15 minute drive from Bay Point Landing. It is open from 8 am to dusk and requires a $5 parking fee per vehicle.
Cape Arago State Park
With trails that lead to the ocean and tidewater pools, Cape Arago State Park offers fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities. Also requires a $5 parking fee per vehicle.
Samuel H. Boardman State Park
This is more of a day trip option as it is about 2 hours away from Bay Point Landing, but Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor is an iconic Oregon sight. This park is very expansive and packed with trails and easy access viewpoints as well. Some places of interest include: Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint, House Rock Viewpoint, Whaleshead Beach, Natural Bridge, and Arch Rock.
