Warm Weather Destinations
Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai is the perfect warm weather destination if you love a beachy, laid back vibe. (Kauai could totally fit under the adventurous category too.). From beautiful beaches to hikes with epic views, Kauai has it all. We have a full list of things to do in Kauai here, but we would recommend booking a helicopter tour with Jack Harter Helicopters. This was by far our favorite experience in Kauai.

San Diego, California
While California is always a good idea, San Diego in the spring is something special. Spend a day exploring Torrey Pines after breakfast at Communal Coffee, or spend a morning at the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The weather is warm enough for a day at the beach, and the sunsets at Sunset Cliffs can’t be missed. For a full guide to San Diego, check out our earlier post here.

30a, Florida
Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach are some of the dreamiest beach towns in Florida.
Key West, Florida
Key West holds a special place in our hearts as we honeymooned here in the spring of 2019. Here are some our favorite places in the Keys.
Bahia Honda State Park
It’s a great place for snorkeling, and the Old Bahia Honda Bridge Trail overlooks the bright blue water below.
The Southernmost Point
It’s actually not the southernmost point of the U.S., but it is a fun place for a touristy photo.
Cuban Coffee Queen
The best coffee ever! It also has a cute little Key West postcard mural for photos.
Danger Charters Sail and Snorkel Tour
There are several excursion options in the Keys, and we booked a kayak, snorkel, and sailing day trip with Danger Charters. It was about a four hour experience and one we would highly recommend.
West Palm Beach, Florida
A city with luxury homes and high-end retailers, it’s a city for shopping and fine dining. Check out nearby Juno Beach for a more laid back beach day before picking up dinner at Grandview Public Market. This market has a variety of food vendors and plenty of outdoor seating. We also enjoyed spending an afternoon on a self-guided tour of the Henry Flagler Museum.
St. Augustine, Florida
St. Augustine is the oldest city in the U.S. Explore the city and learn more about its history on a trolley tour, or escape the crowds and head to the beach. Some of our favorite beaches in the area include Crescent Beach and Vilano Beach which both have free public parking lots. If you’re a coffee lover, you have to try The Kookaburra (they have multiple locations in St. Augustine, including one a short walk from the beach), and if you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, head to Mayday ice cream.

Adventurous Destinations
Zion National Park, Utah
Utah’s Zion National Park is a great place to visit, if you love hiking and scenic landscapes. With hikes like Angels Landing (a permit is required) and the Narrows, Zion National Park is one you need to visit. If you’re not up for the adventure of Angels Landing (or you didn’t score permits), check out Observation Point or the Canyon Overlook Trail. For more things to do in the park, check out our full travel guide.
Arches National Park, Utah
Another one of Utah’s amazing parks is Arches National Park. Our favorite hike here is the hike to Delicate Arch. Hike the trail in the evening and enjoy the sunset from the top. While you could easily spend a couple days here, you could combine a trip to Arches with a trip to Zion.

Asheville, North Carolina has something for everyone. We’ve visited Asheville quite a few times and here are some of our highlights.

Looking Glass Falls
This 60 foot waterfall is right off the highway (no hiking required).
Max Patch
While the drive to Max Patch is rough, a short hike takes you to a grassy bald with 360 mountain views.
Craggy Gardens
While the brightly colored blooms don’t usually appear until June, Craggy Gardens has a trail with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Hike the Craggy Pinnacle Trail for more 360 views.

Savannah, Georgia
A city full of historic charm, Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful place to visit in the spring. We love the relaxed feel of the city, and the grid layout of Savannah makes walking or biking around a leisurely way to explore. Some of our favorites in Savannah include: breakfast at Mirabelle, walking Jones Street, the avenue of trees at Wormsloe Plantation, and Forsyth Park.
Charleston, South Carolina
With its coastal views, historic architecture, and southern charm, Charleston, South Carolina is the perfect place to spend a day or two. This colorful city has plenty to do and see from the famous “Rainbow Row” to the picking up some spring flowers from the cutest VW bus flower “truck”. Check out our Charleston travel guide here.
