When traveling, we’re always looking for unique stays to add to our experience.  Glamping is not new to us, as we have stayed at campsites in Montana, Oregon, and Idaho.  There’s just something about having simple comforts like beds, heat/AC, and a Keurig for morning coffee.  Timberline Glamping is a great option for travelers who want simple comforts along with the camping experience.

Locations

Timberline Glamping has 7 different locations across Georgia and Florida!

  • Amicalola Falls
  • Clarks Hill Lake
  • Hillsborough River
  • Kingston Downs
  • Lake Blackshear
  • Lake Lanier
  • Unicom State Park

What to Expect at a Timberline Glamping Site

The first thing you can expect is a beautifully decorated campsite.  Whether you choose to stay in one of their safari tents, bell tents, or retro RVs, your campsite will look amazing!

In addition to a tent or RV, fire pit, picnic table, charcoal grill, and hammocks, you will also have:

  • Comfortable beds with bedding
  • Heat and AC
  • Keurig
  • Outlets
  • Mini-Fridge
  • String lights and lighting inside

Firewood and fire starter can also be added to your stay.  We loved the easy add-on process, and our firewood was at our site when we arrived.

Our Experience

We chose to stay at the Clarks Hill Lake location in Augusta, Georgia.  It is located in Wildwood Park which has been voted the “Best Campground” in Columbia County.  Our campsite had a beautiful view of the lake and was well spaced from the other tents.  We loved how peaceful it was, and we spent most of our time outside in the hammocks.

The bathrooms and showers were just a short walk away and were very clean.

How to Prep/What to Bring

We knew that once we arrived at our campsite we wouldn’t want to leave.  I made sure we had a list of essentials we’d need to bring along with us, and I tried to prep our meals as much as possible.  In addition to what is already provided, I would make sure you also bring the following:

Toiletry items are not provided, so a toiletry bag with all the essentials is a must.

A first aid kit is great to have on hand just in case.

This cookware kit is portable and includes a pot, pan, and cooking utensils.

  • Cooler and Ice

Your campsite includes a mini-fridge, but a cooler is great for holding drinks.

  • Water

A bottle of water is at your campsite, but we brought along an additional 4 gallons for our weekend stay.

  • Paper Towels
  • Dinnerware
  • Extra Trash Bags
  • Towels

Bath towels are not provided, and you might want to bring along some beach towels for water activities depending on the weather during your stay.

To capture all the memories you’ll make.  For a full list of the camera gear we use on our trips, check out our earlier post here.

We love bringing TableTopics on our trips.  Their questions are great conversation starters and a way to connect with family and friends.

  • Slippers or Fuzzy Socks

To keep the inside of your tent clean, shoes are not recommended.

We hope you found this post to be helpful!  Our camping experience with Timberline Glamping was so memorable, and we can’t wait to visit one of their other locations soon.
